Combined Solution Assures Quality of Experience for Unified Communications

Boston, MA and São Paulo, Brazil – February 18, 2010: Clearway Network Management Solutions and Automatos today announced their partnership to help service providers and enterprises ensure Quality of Experience (QoE) for Unified Communications and converged network solutions.

“With the convergence of information from communications technologies, service providers and enterprises are challenged with assuring Quality of Experience,” said Raheel Retiwalla, CTO of Clearway NMS. “Understanding and supporting complex data, voice, and video technologies from a variety of hardware and software vendors is no simple task. Together, Clearway NMS and Automatos bring a solution to provide increased transparency into service levels from Unified Communications, including Microsoft OCS,” continued Retiwalla.

Automatos’ extensive portfolio of IP Asset Management software, through Clearway’s Network Assurance Expert and OCS Expert software platforms, provides full visibility into devices (e.g., laptops, servers, network) used for delivering Unified Communications. This end-to-end visibility provides the unprecedented detail and insight needed to resolve Quality of Experience (QoE) issues effectively.

“In monitoring more than 2 million desktops and 600,000 servers around the world, Automatos depends upon Clearway for the platform which IT support needs to collect and easily manage the wider set of IP device information associated with converged solutions,” said Moyses Rodrigues, President of Automatos. “The Automatos broad solution portfolio enhances Clearway’s ability to aggregate and synchronize real-time performance metrics across devices,” he continued.

“We are pleased to expand our partnership with Automatos,” said Gene Rodgers, President and Chief Operating Officer of Clearway NMS. “Assuring user Quality of Experience is the key to service provider brand reputation and revenue generation. It is also essential to enterprises which want to realize cost savings and productivity benefits from Unified Communications, including Microsoft OCS. We are confident that our relationship with Automatos will continue to help our joint customers win with Unified Communications,” he concluded.
