One of the four solution areas for our CEP platform is the Health and Care sector.
The application of appropriate monitoring solutions both fixed (phone line) and mobile to a wide range of situations can bring about significant improvements in the quality of personal Health and Care services to individuals and their families within their own homes, in care homes and in larger medical/care facilities.
Virtus is in the process of selecting organisations that already have high quality products and services for the mHealth/mCare/TeleHealth/TeleCare market and which can be further enhanced through connection with our CEP platform to offer a wider service with greater value to the end customer.
Typically CEP plays two key roles:
- it provides 24 x 7 monitoring of critical devices and their status:
- if a device monitoring blood pressure, glucose levels, security access, smoke detection etc fails, we will alert the appropriate organisation immediately so that appropriate action can be taken
- data from numerous devices can be transmitted in real time to inform relevant care and support teams of notifiable events as they occur
- it integrates the data from specialist siloed products to provide a more holistic picture of a person's individual status (health and/or environment).
