Service Provider's Core Network
SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is a text based network protocol used for initiating, managing and terminating a communications session such as a phone call. SIP is rapidly becoming the standard for Voice over IP communications due to its simplicity relative to early protocols such as H.323. Most ITSP (Internet Telephony Service Provider) today have developed SIP as their communication protocol such as H323 or SS7. SIP is also primarily to Floyd as the protocol of choice for tier1 and tier2 operators as they transition to an IP-based environment.
PALLADION is a product for the monitoring and management of SIP based networks. PALLADION gives network operators visibility into what is happening on the network, enables them to detect problems and issues in real time, and gives them the ability to trigger events in the network to automatically solve problems. The product is available either as a software application that is designed to run medium to large-scale environments such as tier1 and tier2 operators, or as an appliance which is suited to the ITSP market.
Our PALLADION product line consists of:
- PALLADION365 is a Linux based software application that runs in almost any Linux environment (Requirement: Debian 64bit).
- PALLADION VoIP Edition is a plug and play appliance that can be configured and running within 15 minutes
PALLADION solves real-world business problems:
- Service Assurance,
- Quality Assurance and
- Revenue Assurance
Management and operations personnel often struggle with Service, Quality and Revenue assurance issues within their network. Most service providers do not have the tools to rapidly find, diagnose and take action to solve SIP-based network problems. It is difficult to focus these three key issues if one does not have the tools needed for effective network operations.
PALLADION can be deployed either within a service providers own network or as a part of managed service offering for enterprise customers.
PALLADION is compatible with virtually all SIP protocols (“dialects”) and infrastructures (NGN, pre-IMS, IMS). It can be deployed either "in line" with the network's signaling and RTP traffic, or can connected off of a mirrored switch port in the network. In both configurations it can be used to monitor and analyze both signaling and RTP flows.
PALLADION is configured through a web based user interface. In most environments, the PALLADION can be installed, configured, and solving problems within 15 to 20 minutes. It can be used for both first tier support personnel as well as technical operations personnel. It's ease-of-use lowers network operating costs, improves customer satisfaction through rapid problem resolution, and increases revenues through reduced churn, fraud detection and simplified network operations.
PALLADION highlights:
- Response Times measures system performance to prevent possible service abuse
- Call Viewer measures subscriber behavior to detect service abuse
- User Tracking monitors and tracks all subscriber SIP events
- User Agent Statistic monitors and analyzes statistics for all deployed SIP clients
- Behavioral Analyses detect abnormal, faulty or fraudulent behavior of users
- Captures and Traces provide detailed statistics to thoroughly investigate service
