In our terminology an Event is anything causes one or more pieces of technology to do something that can be monitored. Virtus IT’s technology delivers in near real time a comprehensive end to end picture of an entire Event utilising data from every relevant piece of technology involved in that event.

Examples of events are:

• A video conference across various technology platforms.

• A VoIP phone conversation on a fixed or a mobile phone or utilising an application such as MS Lync.

• A person who has just fallen down (detected by a rapid motion sensor) and whose heart rate has become unsteady (detected by a heart rate monitor)

• A vending machine that is consuming energy to keep its contents cool after the last item has been sold.

• The length of time that a person is actively using a given application on a PC (e.g. in a school or in a department of a global enterprise).

• The storage capacity of a virtual server is within a given percentage of the maximum allocated capacity.

• Someone or some asset that has moved outside of a user defined geo-boundary.

These are just some of the thousands of types of Events about which we can supply comprehensive information.

There are organisations who specialise in providing information about events on individual devices such as Laptops, Servers, Mobile Phones, Access Devices, M2M solutions and Mobile Health monitors. While we too can do this, we can also provide much more.
